Thoughtful delivery ideas during lockdown

We are now in week 8 of lockdown in England and I think everyone is finding some days easier than others, it is a total rollercoaster of emotions. I go through stages of really resenting this time and then other stages of really trying to embrace this new normal as I know it is unlikely we will ever go through a time like this again. It is so hard not seeing friends and family right now but it is so important to stay connected to them and let them know you're thinking of them.

During lockdown, I have seen so many amazing businesses adapting and being so creative with their offering so I thought it would be helpful to put a blog post together with lots of ideas to send a gift to someone or just treat yourself to! There are also so many people whose birthdays have fallen during lockdown which has left them limited as to how they can celebrate, so hopefully this blog post can also help in terms of celebrating a birthday whilst in lockdown.

Food

I think one of the things that has really kept me going is food! Haha. It keeps us to a routine and having something nice to eat to look forward to is a small win in the day. There are so many amazing food places who are now offering deliveries for various treats, here are so examples:

Grazing Boards

We had one of their ploughman's lunch on Bank Holiday Friday and it was such a lovely change and there was SO much food it lasted us a good couple of days!

I absolutely love the look of the grazing boards from here and have heard so many amazing reviews! Their brunch box is definitely something I can't wait to try.

The Cheese Wedge Company
For any fellow cheese lover, this is the absolute dream! I have tried these amazing cheeses at fayres in the past and now they are doing box deliveries with all their flavoured cheeses!

Sweet Treats

I had a box of these gorgeous biscuits sent to someone to let them know I was thinking of them. You can have anything written on them and they are just a lovely unique way to send a message to someone.

Sian's Cakes
I have heard so many good things about Sian's cakes, I mean, you only have to look at them to see how amazing she is at baking! I love all the different themes she does and think they are a lovely gift for someone you can't see right now.

Cafe on the Cop
I always admire the cakes in the window when I walk past this Cafe. The amazing news is that they are now offering a delivery service of cake slices!! Just look at them all. The menu changes every week and they all look delicious.

Alcohol

*BABE Wine
I had seen a few people receive these gift boxes for their birthday and I loved the branding! I purchased one a few weeks ago and the wine tasted really nice, and the plastic cups and tote bag you can use again and again. I think this is a lovely little pick me up or birthday present for someone (or yourself!).

Self Care

We all need to practise a little more self care in everyday life, we are always so quick to put everything else first but hopefully everyone has some extra time right now to give themselves a pamper!

Miss Patisserie
I came across this brand whilst scrolling ASOS and I just love the branding and the innovative products! They sell a wide range of different gift sets for different budgets.

Body Shop Products
We all love the body shop but as it's not open right now, it is the perfect time to support a home consultant whilst treating someone/yourself! I have linked to a lovely lady I know called Shaunna who has been putting together some beautiful sets all packaged and delivered to your door.

Positivity

Sometimes it is the little things that mean the most, here are some examples of some little gifts you could send that are guaranteed to put a smile on their face.

Elisa by Design
I was very lucky to work with Elisa in my first job out of university and she has become such a lovely friend to me. Elisa is a graphic designer and mainly sells wedding stationary but has put together these beautiful positivity cards during lockdown! I just love them. You could buy a pack and send an individual one to each of your friends, or you could send someone the complete collection!

Pocket Hug
I love these little tokens and they can be completely personalised. I think they are a really thoughtful gift and a really lovely keepsake.

I really hope you have enjoyed this post and it has given you some creative ideas for gifts you could give during lockdown. I hope you are safe, well and getting through this tough time.

Thank you, as always, for taking the time to read!
