Summer Trends - Lovely Lace Tops

Lace never really goes out of fashion, it can also be worn throughout every season of the year, so it's definitely a trend you need in your wardrobe. This summer has been all about Frills, Bardot Necklines and Floral Patterns, as well as Pretty Lace Details.

Skincare on a Budget

Through my teenage years, spots never really seemed to be a problem for me. I would get one or two every month, then they'd go as fast as they appeared. I never really had a skincare routine, only taking my makeup off and applying lip balm before bed. I still don't get a huge amount of spots, but I definitely get them more frequently than I used to, which i'm not sure how that works considering my hormones should have settled by now, surely?! I also have quite dry areas on my face which need constant hydration otherwise you can really see it under my makeup.

I bought this skin care range from Boots when they were doing a 3 for 2 offer which runs pretty much all the time! I didn't really know where to start in terms of skincare so I thought by starting small and cheap, I didn't have much to loose.

May Favourites 2017

It's that time of the month when I reflect on all the new products/items I have bought and tried over the past few weeks. This is a slightly late May favourites but I wanted to try each product for a good amount of time so I could write about them thoroughly. Hope you enjoy!

Holiday Lookbook - Menorca 2017

Summer is my favourite season of the year, I love the heat, the holidays and most of all..the fashion. I have just got back from a week in beautiful Menorca and I wanted to share some of my holiday outfits. I love getting dressed up and holidays are the perfect excuse to do just that. I bought a lot of holiday clothes last year so I have re-worn a lot this year, but I have also bought a few new pieces to keep my wardrobe up to date. I'm always looking for new ideas for holiday outfits so I thought this post could be useful for anyone needing a bit of inspiration!

Makeup products I buy again and again..

Hello everyone! I would firstly like to just apologise for the lack of blog posts recently, I have been really struggling to juggle everything, so my blog had to take a back seat. But, I have one more assignment due before I finish for Summer and then I can blog properly again!

Anyway, this blog post is all about the makeup products I constantly have in my makeup bag. I wanted to give you information on each of them and explain why I go back to these products time and time again!

I am not the most adventurous person with makeup, I tend to wear the same look most days, and then make it heavier if I'm going out or have a special occasion. Once I find a product I love, I don't really deviate from it!

Things I would tell my younger self...

I don't regret anything in my life, as I know I wouldn't be where I am today or who I am, without experiencing what I have so far. When you're younger, you do make mistakes, and that's okay, because that's how you learn right from wrong. I'm a perfectionist through and through, I hate making mistakes and I hate doing things 'wrong', but over time, I've learnt that you can't possibly go through life without making these mistakes.

I was inspired to write this blog post after seeing a letter Victoria Beckham wrote to her younger self last year, it was so beautifully written, and it really made me think. You don't know everything when you're younger, even if you like to think you do. And, every year I feel like I'm still learning and improving myself. Some of these things are more lighthearted but some are things I have learnt over time, that have definitely become clearer as I've grown up. I'm glad I went through some pretty shitty times, because its made me stronger and the person I am today, and now, I will never ever let anyone treat me less than I deserve.

Pink is the New Black

Thigh High and Knee High boots have been so popular over the last couple of years, but they have really dominated this Winter. I've had flat pairs in the past but I had never been brave enough to go for a heeled pair, I think this is mainly due to my height as I tend to tower over people in heels, which makes me a little self conscious!

Pink is definitely going to be a top trend for Spring/Summer with Blush pinks and nudes already popping up in most high street shops!

My lovely boyfriend bought me this Public Desire pair for Christmas and I love experimenting with the styling of them. I was originally inspired by Lydia Millen who is a blogger I have followed for a while, and I just adore her style. She has a pair of Stewart Weitzman boots that she wears and I think look AMAZING every time! As a student, I definitely can't justify nearly £700 on a pair of boots but I think these PD ones are just as lovely!

Look Fantastic Beauty Advent Calendar 2016

I've always loved the 1st December, mainly because that means it's acceptable to have chocolate every morning leading up to Christmas Day. More recently, different brands have been bringing out the most amazing advent calendars! And the products inside, are even better than chocolate!

In 2015, I had the Benefit 12 days of Christmas advent calendar which was so lovely and contained miniature Benefit products.

I had seen the Look Fantastic Calendar advertised in 2015 but it was completely sold out, so when I saw it advertised again in 2016, I just had to have it (the fact it was rose gold may have swayed me a little too). I signed up to be on the list for pre-order and it arrived in early November, the temptation to just open it there and then was very high!

The Clothes Show 2016

My love for "Clothes Show Live" started when I was 13 and I've been every year since. Even twice some years! I am so gutted that 2016 was the last ever one as it is now being rebranded to "The British Style Collective", which will be held in July rather than December, and the location is now in Liverpool, rather than Birmingham. I feel as though the Clothes Show has been well and truly replaced, even the concept will be different this year, which is such a shame because I know so many other people loved it just as much as I did. I have booked tickets for "The British Style Collective" in July and I will do a blog post after the event to compare it to what was, "The Clothes Show".

This year, we decided to buy the Diamond tickets, as opposed to the Platinum tickets we usually get. This was the first year they had done a Diamond ticket so we wanted to see how much more you got for the money. With the Diamond ticket we got: Free parking (worth £12), a goody bag packed full of stuff, entrance to the VIP lounge (Where I met my absolute idol - Lydia Millen!), free refreshments all day and finally the most amazing front row seats for the fashion show.

The Clothes Show always falls the week after my birthday so I wanted to show you a selection of the items I got with my birthday money and the amazing deals you could get there.

OOTD - Street Style

Hey everyone! Just a quick outfit post today, I absolutely love doing these. From the styling to seeing the finished photos, it makes me so happy! Couldn't do it without my fab photographer, of course. We have a little delay on new outfit posts as the weather was not on our side today, but I have lots of other content planned anyway! But I am so excited to shoot all my new outfits soon and get them up on my blog!

This outfit is a really casual daytime outfit that you could easily dress up for an evening with some heeled over-the-knee boots and a clutch! Outfits that I can just throw on take up the majority of my wardrobe, they are just so easy when I'm up early to go to Birmingham or work.

Hope you enjoy this post! As always, I'd love to know what you think.

How To (Almost!) Never Pay Full Price..

I love a bargain or special deal, and as a student I have to watch what I spend, and I really do try everything I can to NOT pay full price. I very rarely buy something without using some sort of voucher or discount code so I thought I would pass on my top tips on how to ALMOST never pay full price!

What 2016 has taught me..

Overall, 2016 has been a really good year. I kicked off the year by picking up my new car and finishing my first year at Manchester University with a 2:1. I also started a new job in marketing which I love, and decided to move to a university closer to home in Birmingham to do my Second year. In the summer, I went on two holidays, and my mum got engaged to a lovely man! I found starting a new university very hard and it was difficult to settle in, but I am slowly starting to get into the swing of things, and I know I made the right decision. A stint in hospital was one negative of this year after a severe kidney infection on holiday, but I have had a great year with amazing people around me, that I am so thankful for!
